State Tested Nurse Assistant Program

Certification as a State Tested Nurse Assistant (STNA) can open the door to a rewarding career offering job stability and personal satisfaction. The demand for dedicated, caring healthcare workers will only grow as the elderly population increases.

Continental Manor offers the Ohio State Tested Nurse Assistant (STNA) program on a monthly basis. The program is 75 clinical and practicum hours as mandated by the Ohio Department of Health. With small class sizes (8 students maximum), we offer flexible hours to fit your schedule and give you individualized attention.

The program fee is $495, which includes a workbook with practice exams to prepare the NA student. The textbook/reference is optional and costs $35. Payments are due the first day. Payment must be made by either cash or money order only, made payable to Continental Manor. After successful completion of the STNA program, you are eligible to take the certification exam for $134.

For students with financial need, the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services and/or other local government agencies may cover the cost of the program. Please contact your local office for eligibility information.

To register for the program, you must meet the following criteria:

• $50 deposit two weeks prior to scheduled class. Non-refundable.
• Interview with the Nurse Aide (NA) instructor is made.
• Physician approval (family doctor/urgent care clinic) of good health status
• Must be able to write, speak, and comprehend English. Though a high school diploma or GED is not required for the program, it may be required to receive financial assistance.
• Recent TB/PPD test, from any physician or local health department. Clinton County Health Department accepts walk-ins from Monday to Wednesday for a $15 fee.
